This is one sick ride. It has a handmade wood body and is called the Tryane II. The Tryane II is supposed to be a car whose body is made of wood, completely and very painstakingly by hand. Even the wheel covers and mirrors are made of wood. Yep, this is the handcrafted working wooden car. Now how sick is that? The Tyrane II took 2000 hours to make and weighs about 900 lbs. They claim it can hit speeds of 100 MPH and gets better gas mileage than most Hondas. It is 13′ 7″ long and around 5′ 4″ wide and gets between 55-70 miles per gallon (better than my small dodge for sure). It is made of gaboon marine ply and mahogany veneers bonded with epoxy resin. Wow, can you even imagine trying to get that car insured. Worse yet, can you imagine being the idiot who wrecks that thing… wow, I hope that never happens.
Check out this idiot in this very nice and fast porshe, this fool wrecks it on a guardrail running from the cops. A really nice car off to the wrecking yard due to stupid driving.
Check out these pics of the too expensive Ferrari eating Shit! So exactly how do you disconnect a Ferrari Spider from a pole? well watch these fools do it. Ferrari hits a pole… or maybe pole gets jealous and hits the Ferrari Well, they tried to unwind the spider from a pole, may need the help of the auto insurance company tow truck at this point
So check this out, this is the true meaning of matchbox for sure. A Formula race car made out of matchsticks… 2 kewl 4 school! Hmmm, I wonder it that wooden car is insured… for fire damage, lol, oh just kidding. It is one of the coolest things I have seen in automotive projects I gotta say. Matchbox, eat your heart out. From Gizmodo… What do you do when you can’t afford a million quid to buy a real McLaren 4/14 Formula 1 car? You spend almost £4,500 building one out of matchsticks, of course. Wacky German, Michael Arndt spent 6 years building this immaculate replica in his kitchen. And all it took was 956,000 matchsticks and 1,686 tubes of glue. K, I guess its only a replica of the formula race car, but still way too cool! Just sick shit 4 sure.
Isn’t it cute… Subaru shows off its latest sub compact electric car at the New York autoshow. A beast of a car it is not, would hate to hit even a pot hole in this little guy. But, with US gas prices up a few hundred percent in recent years, it may be worth the auto safety risk. Subaru announced it will put two R1e electric cars in service with the New York Power Authority for test marketing.
The R1e, on display at the 2008 New York auto show, is driven by a 40 kilowatt motor which can push it up to 65 mph. Its lithium-ion battery pack gives it a range of 50 miles and can be charged to 80 percent capacity in 15 minutes, using a special quick charger.
